The engine is placed in a cantilevered cowling above the cockpit. The cockpit and tail boom are built employing a cage of built-up welded steel-alloy (chromoly), wrapped in a carbon fiber composite structure to ensure safety and performance.
These are the distinguishing features of the FX1, a lightweight state of the art aircraft developed by Innovaviation to meet the requirements of the S-LSA category.
For over three decades Alfredo Di Cesare has built aircraft based on this formula, improving the construction features and the design.
