AERO 2021 IS CONFIRMED AND WE WILL BE THERE – AERO 2021 E’ CONFERMATO E NOI CI SAREMO

Friedrichshafen – After a one-year break due to COIVD 19, next year, from April 21-24, 2021, the International Aviation Exhibition will take place on the Friedrichshafen exhibition grounds. The project team on Lake Constance is expecting large memberships. Major industry giants such as Diamond, Tecnam, Piper, Junkers, Textron and Rheinland Air Service (DAHER, Hondajet, Bell partnership) have already confirmed their presence and are happy to return to AERO, which is one of the most important international meetings in the industry: “We are delighted with the strong and positive call from the industry. This underscores the importance of AERO and the need to exchange ideas in person,” explains Roland Bosch, division manager and board member. AERO project manager Tobias Bretzel is confident that the trade fair will run in a well-organized manner and in compliance with current hygiene regulations, with mandatory masks and compulsory online ticketing.
As of mid-December 2020, the AERO team already has a very good amount of international registrations.
About 60% of the registered exhibitors come from abroad. The e-flight-expo will play an important role in the coming year. Under the term “Sustainable Aviation”, especially innovative aircraft, alternative types of propulsion and the topic of charging infrastructure will be exhibited here.
Friedrichshafen Airport, which is adjacent to the exhibition grounds, is currently testing the implementation of charging stations for electrically powered aircraft in a pilot project.
The goal is to have a charging station in operation by the next AERO 2021, as the AERO organizers have already received concrete requests from Swiss pilots.
Among other things, they would like to fly in Friedrichshafen (EDNY) with the new Pipistrel Velis Electro, which is already being used for training in Switzerland.
AERO offers a full range of products for all areas of general aviation. Aircraft ranging from civil drones to gliders, ultralights and gyroplanes, helicopters and light aircraft with piston engines or propeller turbines to business jets will be on display.
New propulsion systems, state-of-the-art avionics, services and accessories for pilots are additional focal points.
These topics will also be covered in the AERO Conferences, making Europe’s largest general aviation event an important platform for knowledge exchange and continuing education.
A new date has also been set for AERO South Africa, after the event was cancelled for this year as well due to the COVID pandemic: the aviation trade show will be held July 8-10, 2021 at Wonderboom Airport in Pretoria.
AERO Friedrichshafen will also regularly present digital conference content outside the classic trade show period.
“This way we keep in touch with our exhibitors, visitors and all networks until the next trade show date and share the fascination of aviation with the industry all year round under #wearega and #aerofriedrichshafen,” explains Tobias Bretzel, project manager at AERO.

ITALIANO
