This year the Great Air Race (GAR) will fly from London to Australia. The route celebrates the centenary of the first flight from England to Australia in 1919. The major aeronautical event includes a flight of 18,000 MN and is focused on the most innovative and low-impact new aeronautical technologies.
Pipistrel has built exclusively for this and other races of this type, a limited edition of this low-consumption aircraft. By December 2018, 20 entries had already been made from the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, Canada and Australia.
The ‘Pipistrel Adventurer’ is basically a standard ‘SWiS Virus’ with Dynon or Garmin instruments and 185-litre long-range fuel tanks.
